Casino Buddy ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Casino Buddy mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using Casino Buddy, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Age Requirement

Casino Buddy is intended for users who are 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you are under 21, please do not use the Service or submit any personal information.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 21 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: Email address, username, and display name when you register.
  • User-submitted content: Casino game details, betting limits, ratings, comments, and photos you choose to submit.
  • Profile information: Optional bio, location, and favorite game preferences you add to your profile.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version for compatibility purposes.
  • Usage data: Pages viewed, features used, and interactions within the app to improve the Service.
  • Location data: Approximate GPS location, only when you grant permission, to show nearby casinos. We do not track your location in the background.
  • Push notification token: A device token used to send you notifications about your submitted content (e.g., approval status). You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

3.3 Photos

If you submit photos of casino games, those images are stored on our servers and reviewed by our moderation team before being published. Do not submit photos that include identifiable people without their consent.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Display and moderate user-submitted casino game data
  • Send notifications about your account and submitted content
  • Improve and maintain the Service
  • Respond to support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising beyond contextual ads served through our advertising partners (see Section 6).

5. How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with encryption at rest and in transit. Our servers are located in the United States.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

  • Supabase — Database and authentication provider. Privacy Policy
  • Expo / React Native — Mobile app platform. Privacy Policy
  • Google AdMob — Advertising platform used to display ads in the free version of the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve contextual ads. You can opt out via your device's advertising settings. Privacy Policy

7. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

  • With service providers listed in Section 6 who process data on our behalf
  • When required by law, court order, or governmental authority
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Casino Buddy, our users, or the public
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets (you will be notified)

User-submitted content (game listings, ratings, comments) that has been approved is publicly visible within the app and may be indexed by search engines. Do not submit content you wish to keep private.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access: You can view your profile and submitted content within the app.
  • Correction: You can update your profile information in the app settings.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing casinobuddyapp@gmail.com. We will process requests within 30 days.
  • Location: You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. The app works without location access; nearby sorting will be unavailable.
  • Push notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.
  • Advertising opt-out: On iOS, use "Limit Ad Tracking" in Settings → Privacy. On Android, use "Opt out of Ads Personalization" in Settings → Google → Ads.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted data storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Gambling Disclaimer

Casino Buddy is an informational tool only. We provide community-sourced data about casino games, betting limits, and machine availability. We do not facilitate, encourage, or provide gambling services of any kind.

Casino Buddy does not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted information. Betting limits and game availability change frequently. Always verify current conditions at the casino.
